  6. WinJammer is a fully featured MIDI sequencer for Windows 3.1.  It uses standard
  7. MIDI files, giving you access to a huge number of songs.  WinJammer also
  8. contains a companion program called WinJammer Player, which is used to play
  9. MIDI song files in the background.

  14.     - runs in ALL Windows modes (including enhanced mode)

  37. The following equipment is required to use WinJammer:
  38.     - PC running Microsoft Windows 3.1
  39.     - a mouse (not strictly required, but very handy)
  40.     - some MME compatible MIDI devices
  41.  
  42. Any MIDI device supported by the Multimedia Extensions is supported by
  43. WinJammer.  This includes Adlib/Sound Blaster series of cards, and the Roland
  44. MPU-401 type of devices, including the MT-32, LAPC, SCC-1 family of devices.

  48. Installation
  49.  
  50. If you are upgrading to WinJammer from a previous release, please see the next
  51. section.  Otherwise, simply create a directory and copy the files into it.  You
  52. should have the following files:
  53.         WINJAMMR.EXE    - WinJammer executable
  54.         WINJAMMR.HLP    - the online help file for WinJammer
  55.         WJMRPLAY.EXE    - WinJammer Player executable
  56.         WJMRPLAY.HLP    - the online help file for WinJammer Player
  57.         MIDILIB.DLL     - DLL which runs the MIDI hardware
  58.         README          - this file
  59.         SONGS.DOC       - explanation and credits on sample songs
  60.         MIN-G.MID       - Bach's Minuet in G (kind of)
  61.         GREENSL.MID     - Nice arrangement of Greensleeves
  62.         CHINESE.MID     - Chinese Dance from the Nutcracker
  63.         PALETTE.MID     - Just a Closer Walk with Thee
  64.         WHATSNEW.DOC    - description of recent changes

  66. Add the programs to program manager using the File New command of program
  67. manager.  Double click on the icons to start the programs.

  69. Once WinJammer is started, use the MIDI Configure command to configure
  70. WinJammer for your hardware.  The help contains a Quick Start topic which may
  71. also be interesting.

  75. Registration

  77. WinJammer is not a free program, but is being distributed under the Shareware
  78. concept.  This allows you to evaluate the program to determine whether it is
  79. worth anything, and then buy it if you are going to use it.  You must register
  80. the program if you are going to use it.

  82. The version of WinJammer you have is fully featured.  If you use WinJammer
  83. after a reasonable evaluation period of two weeks, register the program.  If
  84. you don't think WinJammer is worth the money, let me know this too, and I'll
  85. see if I can satisfy you with the next release.

  87. Registration costs $50 US.  To register, simply send me a cheque or money order
  88. for $50 US at the address below.  Registrations are also accepted through
  89. CompuServe or Software Excitement!.  For information on registering through

  109. changed or modified in any way except by the author.  WinJammer and WinJammer
  110. Player may be freely distributed so long as all files are included and no money
  111. is charged.  A small copying fee not exceeding $10 US may be charged.

  114. from use of this program.  In no event will I be liable to you for any damages,
  115. including lost profits, lost savings or other incidental or consequential
